There is no need for priests to revise the words of the liturgy, to add their own personal observations, to subtract parts that they don't care for, or do anything else that says, in effect, to the people that they are the focal point of the liturgy.<br /><br />I remember many years ago that some priests slurred or mispronounced some of the Latin in the Mass, sometimes forgot bits, and usually spoke too quickly, I don't recall one ever trying to revise or embellish the Latin texts; perhaps because they were leading the congregation in prayer and sacrifice to God.Roseberrynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14171858.post-63950087677080455292012-05-02T07:19:12.877-07:002012-05-02T07:19:12.877-07:00I gotta say I'm jealous. I wish I could get to...I gotta say I'm jealous. I wish I could get to daily mass. This lent I had the wonderful gift of getting to go once a week. But now I'm back to just Sundays.
